Welcome to the one and only Hartman Castle! Awesome amenities: 9-holes of mini golf, arcade games, ping pong, pickleball, and 2 party decks. Perfect for big groups: 2 King, 3 Queen, 2 Full, and 3 Twin beds, plus 3 Queen size pull-out couches and a sleeper sofa. Sleeps up to 24. To start you off, we provide a small amount of dish soap, dishwashing detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Please plan to purchase more for extended stays. We also provide plenty of pool towels for you to use at the lake. Please bring your favorite lake float/life jacket/ etc. *Please note* Hartman Castle is a unique property with stairs, balconies, stone surfaces, and waterfront access, and an open drawbridge. To ensure everyone has an enjoyable and safe stay, please keep a close eye on any children in your party throughout your visit, as these features require extra attention. By booking with us, guests acknowledge the property's characteristics and agree to supervise children appropriately during their stay. The castle is not handicap accessible.

The check out time outlined in your arrival guide is a firm time. Not adhering to the check out time will result in a $75 fee for each hour over the agreed upon check out time. After 2 hours, you will be charged for an additional night. Thank you for your cooperation. Pets are not allowed on the property. If you bring a pet onto the property, you will be charged a pet fee of up to $2,500.

We had our family reunion with my two sisters and our children and grandchildren. We enjoyed the amenities very much. We played pickleball in the evenings, the kids especially enjoyed the lake and jumping off the top deck into the water. Blake provided what we needed to enjoy the amenities. Pickleball paddles and balls. Floats, ping pong paddles and balls. Putt Putt golf with clubs and balls. Everyone enjoyed watching the drawbridge come down. There is a lot of stairs with the kitchen on its own level, so expect to climb or go down stairs to your bedroom. We took up every bed in the house and the purple house. The top room has a bed and sofa and is a good size. The air conditioning (we went in July) was great and we could adjust to our preference. If you are considering doing something a little different, this is the place. No need to go back to town (as long as you brought enough food).

This place was an amazing spot for our family reunion! There was ample space to play board games when it rained, and lots to do outside when it was nice. Everybody enjoyed searching the house to pick out their sleeping quarters in their own unique spots. We had great time and would recommend this to other families.

The castle was AMAZING! It was just as described, and pictures do not do it justice. We celebrated our daughter's 11th birthday there, and the girls never ran out of things to do. From scavenger hunts, to pickle ball, to putt putt, to jumping off the top of the dock, swimming, and more. It had ample space for our family and friends to gather, relax, and hang out. I could not recommend this place more. So much detail that has gone into perfecting this castle. We would love to rent this space again in the future.

We stayed in a Castle! I have always wanted to stay in a castle so when my travels took me near one and I needed to house multiple family members we were excited to stay here. The place is really unique, full of history and information. It was built by an author and his wife. The new owner has preserved and updated while keeping true to the original look. They kept the best parts of articles and information so we enjoyed reading all about the place. Unlike other castles that are quite old and uncomfortable from reviews. The place had a very comfortable living room & functional kitchen. The kids loved wearing the kings cape! The home is sectioned out which worked for our multi families staying together. The lake was awesome, very deep and almost all of us jumped from the top deck despite my fear of heights. We didn’t rent a boat and decided to just enjoy what was there and it was perfect. The kids played on floats and we sat comfortably in the shaded deck. Must do the scavenger hunt!

Our family stayed at Blake’s place while we were in town for my daughter’s wedding, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The home is truly one-of-a-kind—photos simply don’t do it justice. The medieval-inspired design is incredibly unique, and the attention to detail throughout the space made it feel like we stepped back in time. The view of the lake is absolutely stunning and was one of our favorite parts of the stay. Our older kids especially loved the putt-putt golf—such a fun touch! Blake’s place was the perfect retreat for our special weekend, and we would absolutely stay again.

Was a fun place for a large group of teenagers. Lots of space. Lots of beds. So much to do to keep them busy. The castle is definitely a unique experience. You have to see it to believe it! Owner communication was great.
